Jackson Square Panorama

For a virtual reality (VR) panoramic tour, place cursor in image, depress left mouse button, and drag mouse to pan through image.

The first thing that you see is the statue of Andrew Jackson in the center of the Square, with the St. Louis Cathedral behind. It is one of three copies of the statue. The other two are in Washington, D.C., and at the historic home of Andrew Jackson, in Tennessee.

As you pan right or left (drag your mouse to the right or left), behind the trees on either side of the Square are the Pontalba Apartments (Upper Pontalba on the left, and Lower Pontalba to the right.

Directly opposite of the St. Louis Cathedral are the Jackson Square Gates on Decatur Street. Similar gates are located on each of the other three sides of the Square. On the corner of the Square, to the right of these gates, you can see the old Jax Brewery, now a shopping Mall. Jackson Square is a favorite locakation for taking pictures, or just sitting.
